Training for AT teachers

Jill has run a full-time teaching practice since 2002 and makes her living from teaching AT. Her training workshops are packed with useful tips and information. All participants receive detailed printed notes and an attendance certificate.
Establishing a Successful Teaching Practice
Venue: 13 Forster Road, Beckenham BR3 4LH
Cost: Teachers £60, Students £50

Time: 10am - 3.30pm (5 CPD hrs with a 30 min lunch break)
Start or boost your practice in this one-day workshop full of great tips and advice from a successful teacher. Contents include locations, marketing, customer relations, time-management, record-keeping and tax made simple. A new section covers online teaching.
The workshop gives you practical and essential information about running a professional, profitable practice.

Parking: There is free parking on Forster Road.
Train: Beckenham is served by trains from Charing Cross/ London Bridge to Hayes (alight at Clock House station), and trains from Victoria to Orpington or Bromley South (alight at Kent House station). The journey takes 25 - 30 mins
Clock House is 5 - 7 mins walk. Leave the platform via the door in the wall, cross the car park and bear right along Clock House Road. Take the fourth turning left into Cromwell Road and Forster Road is the first right. Number 13 is seven doors along on the left.
Kent House is about 12 -15 mins walk. Descend the steps from the platform and leave the station past the ticket office into Plawsfield Road. At the end of the road turn left into Beckenham Road and walk about 5 mins until you reach Clock House station on the right. Turn right into Clock House Road then follow the route as above.

Giving introductory workshops is a great way to present the AT to the public, find new clients and spread the good news about the benefits. Learn how to plan, structure and present successful workshops.
Topics covered include choosing a venue, structuring and presenting material, foolproof games, confident demonstrations and offering the next step.
Full printed notes are provided for each participant on the day.
